Some wedding days just hit right. Lauren and Paul’s big day at Coton House Farm was one of them — the kind of wedding where the weather shows up, the people show up, and the whole thing flows like it’s meant to.
They got married on a proper sunny Saturday in May — the 17th to be exact — and honestly, they couldn’t have asked for better light. If you’re into natural, golden-hour kind of vibes, Coton House Farm delivers. As a wedding photographer, you always hope for a day like this — relaxed people, great energy, and that soft light that just makes every moment look cinematic.
The Vibe: Chilled, Real, and Shot-Fuelled
From the start, it was clear Lauren and Paul weren’t here for tradition’s sake — they were here to have a good time with the people they love. No stiff formality, just good food, live music, and laughter all day.
Their ceremony ended with everyone — including me — doing a shot of tequila. That kinda set the tone.
The whole day was super easygoing. Guests flowed from one part of the venue to the next like the place was built for it. (Spoiler: it basically is.) From the courtyard to the main barn to the garden area, Coton House Farm makes it easy to move with the moment. And they did.

Grab-and-go street food kept things low-key and delicious.
A live band (wish I caught their name, they smashed it).
A caricature artist drawing wild versions of guests — some of the reactions I caught were hilarious.
No fuss, no faff. Just a couple having a great time, and a whole lot of people happy to be there for it.
